St-ETIENNE – Tél. 85-65

[A ruled advertisement in black and white inside a single rule. “Garde-boue Carter” is set across the head in two lines of heavy slab-serif type. A line drawing fills the center: an arched mudguard and a chain guard below it, both covered in a pattern of irregular scales like crocodile hide, the chain guard’s outline curving down at the left. At its right end an oval plate reads “LE CROCO” in hand-drawn capitals, with a line of tiny hand-lettered capitals curving beneath it ending in “DEPOSES”, the first words too small to read. “CHAZAL – ROUCHOUSE” runs across the foot in light sans-serif capitals over the Saint-Étienne address and telephone number. There is no signature in the drawing.]

[This advertisement shares its unnumbered page of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Vélodécor, La Perle, Mistral, CLB, Metalloplan and Bourguignon, each held here as its own record, and others for the F.L. lining tool, Goetz pistons and C.P.D.M. connecting-rod reconditioning.]
