[A wide ruled advertisement in black and white, inside a plain rule that is broken at the upper left, where “AU SALON : Stand 216” in small bold sans-serif capitals and roman sits in the gap, and at the upper right, where the street address and town are set in two bold condensed lines. The head reads “Les Cycles” in large light letter-spaced sans-serif running into the marque, which is set as a trademark: the word “BERTIN” in heavy white capitals reversed out of a long solid black bar, with an eagle perched on the bar at the point where the word begins, its wings spread wide and its head turned to the right, drawn as a line engraving with the feathers worked in fine hatching. Under the bar, ranged right, is a bold sans-serif line between upright double quotation marks. A line of bold italic serif across the panel introduces the agencies. The lower half is a table of ten agents in two rows of five columns, each column divided from the next by a pair of thin upright rules: in every entry the agent’s name is on the first line in light sans-serif, the street or box address on the second, and the town in bold sans-serif capitals on the third, with the country or island in roman beside it. No signature or agency mark appears, and no type from the reverse of the leaf shows through.]

[This advertisement shares page 132 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for IRM, Peugeot and AFCO, each held here as its own record.]
