[A ruled advertisement in black and white, inside a frame of a thin and a thick black rule. The text is centered throughout. Two lines of letter-spaced light slab-serif open the panel, the first giving the number of years and the second the kind of goods. Below them the first marque, “BAURIAT”, runs the full width of the panel in very large light sans-serif capitals. Between the two marque lines sits a line engraving of a sprung leather saddle seen from above and slightly to the left, the nose at the lower left and the broad cantle at the right: the leather is worked in fine cross-hatching that shades from near black along the raised edges to a light ruled tone over the seat, the rivets around the skirt are drawn as light ovals and two slotted vents are cut in the middle of the top. The word “BROWN” is lettered along the skirt on both sides and again, upright, on the cantle plate at the right. Under the engraving the second marque, “BROWN”, repeats the same very large light sans-serif capitals across the width. Two lines of heavy slab-serif close the panel. No address, telephone number or stand number is given, and no signature or agency mark appears. Faint type from the reverse of the leaf shows through in the open ground at the left of the engraving.]

[This advertisement shares page 126 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Dissoplast tire-repair solution and a Ktema cyclomoteur frame.]
