Salon du Cycle : Porte de Versailles
STAND No 7

[A quarter-page typographic advertisement in black on cream inside a thin ruled frame. The two saddle brands stand in very large sans-serif capitals, “BROWN” letter-spaced; the rest is set centered in an extended roman, with a rule above the Salon line in bold italic sans-serif and the stand number in bold capitals. Between the two names, a fine line engraving of a leather racing saddle seen from the side, with its rows of rivets, rails and seat clip; the oval badge on its flank reads “GRAND LUXE”, “BAURIAT”, “CROUPON”, “LÉGÈRE” and “GARANTI” (small and partly uncertain), with a small radiant emblem at its top. No signature or agency mark. Show-through of text and a drawing from the other side of the leaf is visible over the ground; it is not part of this advertisement.]

[This advertisement shares page 54 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Sterling, held here as its own record, and one for KLG spark plugs.]
