[A full-width advertisement in black and white, framed by a thick plain border at the top and sides and set as a dark panel above a light strip. Across the top of the dark panel a bold slab-serif headline in a light box reads in three lines, the first and third spread wide and the middle line centered. Inside the panel, about fifteen rubber brake-lever hoods are shown in halftone photographs, each fixed to a metal brake lever and scattered at different angles against a black ground. The hoods are of several shapes, some ribbed or knurled on top, some smooth and pale with a name molded or printed on them (Universal, Balilla, Bowden, LAM, with a small winged mark on one). Beside or below each lever a small light label in fine capitals names the model and the firm it was made for, many of them too small to read in full. One label sits on an outlined plaque bearing the words “Brevetti Vittoria Torino” and a flag-like motif with a laurel spray. A short light caption bar at the lower right marks one old-style partial hood. Below the panel the light strip is divided by thin vertical rules into three boxes, each with a small line of serif type above a heavy sans-serif name and a bold address line: the French general agent on the left, the French maker in the center and the Belgian agent on the right. No artist signature is visible and no text from the reverse of the leaf shows through.]
