“LA MAISON DE GROS DES VÉLOCISTES”
[A wide, low ruled advertisement in black and white, text only, set in a heavy rule that runs along the left side and the right side and breaks at the top and the foot. Two lines of spaced sans-serif capitals across the head state what the firm supplies. Beneath them “A. ARGAUD & FILS” fills the width in very large black capitals with a small ampersand. Under it the street address, the Paris district and the telephone line are set in widely spaced capitals. A black rounded bar at the foot, interrupted by the ruled line, carries the slogan in slanted cream capitals within quotation marks. There is no drawing and no artist signature or monogram.]
[This advertisement shares its unnumbered page of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for VBF, Mazoyer, Marcel Guillen, Verrerie Stéphanoise, Répar-Witt, Maxi-Car, Brasobloc, Mistral, F.B.L. and Indéca, each held here as its own record, and one for the Var tool catalog.]
