[A tall single-column advertisement in black and white drawn as a strip of cinema film running down the page, its black borders punched with rounded white sprocket holes on both sides. “A. ARGAUD & FILS” is reversed out in white heavy display capitals across the black head of the strip, with “vous présentent…” in white script below. Nine light frames follow, each holding a product drawn in line and stipple with its name in spaced sans-serif capitals and a circled number in the lower right corner; the numbers run 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 29, 30, 31 and 28 down the strip. The frames show a leather saddle in profile with an oval “IDEALE 59” plate on its flank; a multi-speed hub with its sprocket and indicator chain, the shell lettered “STURMEY” in small type; a sprung saddle in profile with a winged “PEARL 50” plate; a rat-trap pedal in steel with toothed cages; a long frame pump lying diagonally, its barrel lettered “ZÉFAL”; a rear derailleur and freewheel on a frame end, labeled “DÉRAILLEUR SIMPLEX”; a racing derailleur with its chain, labeled “DÉRAILLEUR COURSE CYCLO”; a complete transmission on the rear triangle of a frame with chainwheel, chain, gear and shift lever on the down tube, labeled “ENSEMBLE TOUR DE FRANCE HURET”; and a final frame with a strapped saddlebag, a padded saddle lettered “PACIFIC” on its side and the same saddle seen from beneath, showing its springs. A light box at the foot of the strip carries “VENTE EXCLUSIVE EN GROS” in bold sans-serif capitals and the address and Nord telephone number in spaced capitals. No signature or agency mark appears in any frame. Faint text from the reverse of the leaf shows through in the derailleur frames.]

[This advertisement shares its unnumbered page of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Birdo, Mazoyer, Choillot, CAMCL and Neiman, each held here as its own record, and others for spare parts for Peugeot vélomoteurs and motorcycles and the Derny motorized bicycle.]
