[A full-color advertisement printed turned a quarter turn on the page, so that all its lettering reads upward from the lower edge of the leaf. The ground is a flat mid green and every word is reversed out in cream. The brand names “TANK · MERVEILLE · STYX · MINAX” in heavy sans-serif capitals follow a large arc down the left side, and a line in a thin italic script, “les marques déposées universellement réputées”, follows a matching arc down the right side. A smaller ring of widely spaced sans-serif capitals circles a solid black disc at the center. Inside the disc the firm’s name “Aimé Ledin” is written large in a flowing cream script with a long underline stroke, “ETABLISSEMENTS” stands in small capitals before it and the street address in small bold capitals follows it, with “FRANCE” in lighter type at the end. Two line engravings overlap the disc edge. At the left a pedal with a knurled cage and a long crank stub is drawn in black and cream. At the right a freewheel cluster of toothed sprockets is drawn the same way, with the word “TANK” lettered on its hub face. No artist signature is visible.]
