[A boxed advertisement in black and white. A black band across the top carries the slogan “La meilleure performance” in large white script, with the two lines beneath it in white bold sans-serif capitals and lower case. The white center panel holds two fine engravings: at the upper left, a rat-trap pedal with cut-out cage plates spelling “TANK” in openwork letters; at the lower right, a multiple freewheel with three sprockets, its body stamped “TANK B”, “Bté S.G.D.G.” and “DEVISSEZ” with an arrow showing the unscrewing direction. The two “Tous les modèles” lines sit opposite the drawings, with a short rule and the trade-only line below at the left. A black band at the bottom carries “PÉDALES et ROUES LIBRES” in white, a white inset box with the three brand names “TANK • MERVEILLE • STYX” in heavy black capitals, and the firm’s name and town in white. No signature or agency mark. Text from the reverse of the leaf shows through faintly in the white panel.]

[This advertisement shares page 90 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Manufacture Orléanaise and Vickers, each held here as its own record.]
