[A ruled advertisement in black and white, a single framed panel taller than it is wide. At the upper left the firm’s emblem fills a quarter of the width: the letters “V&W” are drawn as large outlined capitals with an ampersand of looped, double-outlined form between them, and a rectangular banner reading “SPÉCIALITÉS POUR CYCLES & MOTOS” in condensed capitals is laid across the letters. At the upper right the name and address are stacked in heavy black roman and condensed capitals, with the stand number and hall below in lighter spaced capitals. The middle of the panel is a large halftone photograph of a rear saddle seat with a pebbled rubber top, a padded rear grab strap and a rotary knob on its adjustable bracket with a long side strap. At its right a round rear-view mirror on a bent stem with a clamp is drawn in line, with a small “V&W” mark on the back of the mirror. Below the saddle the product list is set in large, widely spaced sans-serif type at the left, and at the right a line-drawn pair of adjustable foot-rests with coiled rubber grips and a mounting clamp stands upright, one grip marked “V&W”. The last line, “Catalogue sur demande”, is set in bold italic between short dashes. No artist signature is visible and no text shows through from the reverse of the leaf.]

[This advertisement shares page 158 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Bourrin Frères, held here as its own record, and one for Rod 88 goggles.]
