SOLIDA AH STIFFLIGHT

[An upright advertisement in text only, set in black inside a thin rule, with no drawing. The firm’s name runs across the head in very large heavy condensed sans-serif capitals, and under it a line of small roman and italic gives the company form and its capital, flanked at the left and the right by rows of small repeated chevron ornaments. The street address and town follow in a light sans-serif. The body is in three groups: in each, the class of machine is set at the left in bold roman of mixed lower case and capitals, a large brace opens to the right, and the goods are listed beside it in heavy bold roman, one to a line, three lines in the first group and two in each of the others, the left-hand labels stepped so that the braces align. Below them two lines give the plating, the first in roman italic and the second in roman with the process name in letter-spaced capitals, and a short line of italic between two rules states that the names are registered. The last line, set off by a rule above it, carries three trade marks in large letter-spaced sans-serif capitals with wide spaces between them. No signature or agency mark is present.]

[This advertisement shares page 166 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Selberg and Le Verseau, each held here as its own record, and one for Treasury bonds.]
