” JUY – 543 ”

DIJON — L. JUY — PARIS

[A ruled, text-only advertisement in black occupying most of a page, framed by heavy bars at the head and foot and thin rules at the sides. The opening two lines are set flush left in a light sans-serif, each underlined. The claim follows centered in light spaced sans-serif capitals, with “Nouveau dérailleur” in heavy condensed capitals. At the center the Simplex trademark is printed in black: a pointed shield shape holding “Simplex” in white outlined capitals, its “S” drawn as a chain looped round two pulleys and enclosing the monogram “LJ”. The model name “Juy-543” stands in very large heavy sans-serif capitals between quotation marks, and “Dijon — L. Juy — Paris” runs across the foot under a rule. There are no other drawings.]

[This advertisement shares page 70 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Dissoplast repair patches and the Melco mixer pump.]
