At the head “La Marque Lorraine” is lettered in a heavy script with ornate capitals. Below it the name “Ruche” is drawn in large white brush-script letters with long looped strokes, reversed out of a slightly tilted black rounded panel. To the right under the panel the word “PRÉSENTE” stands in spaced capitals, followed by “Sa nouvelle fabrication” in a bold flowing script and the figure “1955” in heavy sans-serif numerals. A list of five points follows, each led by a solid black round bullet: the first is in medium capitals, the second in condensed capitals, and the remaining three in widely letter-spaced light capitals. The show notice below is set in heavy condensed capitals mixed with a lighter script-like face, and the words “PARIS * STAND 61 *” are set larger in heavy capitals with two asterisks. The black band at the foot carries the maker’s name and town in white script. There are no pictures in the advertisement. No signature or agency mark is visible. Faint ghosted lettering from the reverse of the leaf shows through near the top edge and beside the bullets.]
