[A ruled advertisement set in type alone, with no drawing or photograph, inside a double black rule with short upright strokes breaking the frame at the top corners. A line of bold sans-serif capitals heads the panel. Under it the marque is set very large in a heavy round script with a swelling flourish on the capital R, reading “Ruche” across the full width. The next block is set on a rising slant, two lines of a brush script climbing from the lower left to the upper right, with the year “1953” in heavy condensed sans-serif figures filling the corner they leave open at the right. Two bold sans-serif capital lines about the two guaranteed rustproof series follow, then two lines of light sans-serif naming the series and the four types of motorized bicycle, with a small script “et” set between them. The Salon line is a second piece of large script, “Salon du Cycle”, over a line in which the gate is in light spaced capitals and the stand number in heavy bold capitals and figures. Across the foot, reversed out in white on a solid black band that forms the bottom of the frame, stands the maker’s name, trade and town. No signature or agency mark appears, and no type from the reverse of the leaf shows through.]

[This advertisement shares page 130 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Roll’s and OS, each held here as its own record, and one for the Cyclemaster motor wheel.]
