[A ruled landscape advertisement, text only, in black and white, bordered by a heavy rule at the left edge and thin rules above and below. The dates “1885-1955” and the numeral “70” are set in large old-style figures, with “ANNÉES d’expérience” and the line “au service de la bicyclette” in smaller roman type, all centered. At the center the firm’s name “Rochet” is drawn in a heavy, rounded hand-lettered script with a long crossed stroke on the final letter, and under it “LA BICYCLETTE DE FRANCE” in quotation marks in spaced italic capitals. Two lines of italic follow, the second in bold spaced capitals, then a small star-shaped ornament. The foot carries two lines giving the factory, the Paris agency, their addresses and telephone numbers, with the labels in bold capitals. There is no drawing, no artist signature and, apart from faint marks near the lower edge, no show-through from the reverse of the leaf.]

[This advertisement shares page 152 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Favorit, held here as its own record.]
