At the head a line drawing of a lion stands on a rocky mound inside an outline of a pointed shield drawn in a fine dotted line; the lion is shown in profile, rearing with its mouth open and one forepaw raised, and an arrow lies across the base of the mound. Across the foot of the lion a black rectangular band carries “Cycles Peugeot” in large white rounded script letters. Below it the text is centered in a mix of faces: the first two lines in a bold sans-serif, the headings in heavy roman capitals, and the explanatory lines in lighter roman or italic type; one line has small ink blots between its words. Near the foot the initials “C.G.C.I.M.” stand in very large spaced bold capitals, followed by the street address, the town and the telephone number in a wider-spaced roman and a final line of small capitals. No signature or agency mark is visible, and no text from the reverse of the leaf shows through.]
