[A tall single-column advertisement printed in black and green inside a broad green frame. The upper block lists the teams in small black capitals under an italic heading. The center is a black-and-white photograph, cut out from its ground, of the front of a bicycle frame built with Nervex lugs: the head tube with its headset cups, the ornately cut top and down tube lugs with short stubs of tube, and the fork crown with the tops of both fork blades. Over the photograph the slogan is printed in green, partly in italic and partly in spaced bold capitals, with the “NERVEX” name in its outlined rectangular cartouche. The lower block lists the 1951 races won, nine of them (Paris-Bruxelles, Circuit des Six-Provinces, Tour du Sud-Est, Paris-St-Étienne, Bordeaux-Paris, Circuit des Boucles de la Seine, Coupe Marcel-Vergeat, Critérium du Dauphiné, Tour de France) in heavier bold capitals; a rule separates the firm’s name and address at the foot. No signature or agency mark.]
[This advertisement shares page 113 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for the A.G.F. cyclomoteurs and scooter.]
