[A full-height advertisement in black and white. The upper half is a halftone-screened panel with an engraved scene: a dark sleeved arm comes down from the top, ending in a bare hand with the fingers spread and pointing downward toward a small line-engraved bicycle at the lower left and a larger line-engraved motorcycle at the lower right, both standing on the screened ground. A cream rounded patch cut into the screen at the right carries the heavy shaded condensed headline “Inutile d’insister !” in two lines. Below the panel, “L’ANTIVOL” is set in wide shaded bold capitals with “NEIMAN” in much larger solid capitals beneath it, and a thin ruled triangular flourish runs off to the right of the name. The sales text sits on a large cream curved area bordered at the left by the screen: “protège radicalement” and the lines about bicycles, motorcycles, vélomoteurs and scooters are in spaced condensed bold lowercase, “CONTRE LE VOL” and “ON VOLE” are in spaced italic capitals, “Voilà pourquoi aujourd’hui” and “moins de machines” are in italic lowercase, and a small asterisk separates the two statements. A dark band across the foot carries the firm’s name and address in spaced white bold capitals, with a small square emblem showing an animal figure at its upper right corner, partly cut at the right edge. A line of small spaced type beneath the band gives the Hall du Cycle stand number. No artist signature is visible. Faint text and a ghost of a heading from the reverse of the leaf show through the cream areas.]
[This advertisement shares page 100 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for the Klaxon horn for scooters.]
