DOCUMENTATION SUR DEMANDE
[A ruled advertisement in black and white within a rounded frame with a heavy shadow at its right and bottom. “POUR VOS . .” stands at the upper left in heavy rounded capitals above a thick black bar that runs down the left side and along the top as an angle. A pen drawing fills the middle: the front of a dark bicycle frame, with the top tube, head tube and down tube, the fork crown and the blades of a fork running down past the arc of a mudguard and tire. Labels in bold capitals and in hand-lettered italic point by arrows to the details on offer: a sliding transfer lettered “NILUM” along the down tube, a metal head badge marked “NIL” on the head tube, a false screw in the Parker style fixing the badge, decorative bands drawn as cross-hatched rings at either end of the down tube, and the tapered “queue de billard” fork blades. A black block across the lower part carries the firm’s name in large white capitals with its founding date of 1923, its Lyon address and telephone reversed out beneath, and “DOCUMENTATION SUR DEMANDE” is set in black capitals over a rule at the foot. No signature or agency mark appears. Faint text from the reverse of the leaf shows through the background.]
[This advertisement shares its unnumbered page of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Lory, Hirondelle and FAC, each held here as its own record.]
