MOTOBECANE was established over half a century ago and is now the largest two wheel manufacturer in Europe, which specializes in producing Motorcycles, Motorbikes, Standard Bicycles and hand built touring and racing bicycles.

MOTOBECANE exports to many countries around the world with a special design to suit the needs of each. The bicycles in this catalogue are built for the U.S. market with unique specifications especially adapted to the American taste and riding habits.

To ensure that the bicycles are manufactured in accordance with the regulation of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), MOTOBECANE commissioned the independent laboratory UTAC. Their procedures include the determination of frame strength, vibrational analysis, fatigue test, load test, etc.

MOTOBECANE LIMITED WARRANTY

MOTOBECANE bicycles and component parts are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship.

MOTOBECANE will replace, at no charge, to the original consumer, for an unlimited time, the frame and fork of any MOTOBECANE bicycle determined to be defective under the terms of this warranty, EXCEPT dealer labor charges due to free replacement of a defective frame and fork after one (1) year of the date of original retail purchase, which are not covered by this warranty.

MOTOBECANE will replace, at no charge, to the original consumer, for a period of six (6) months from the date of original retail purchase any MOTOBECANE component part determined to be defective under the terms of this warranty.

Any authorized MOTOBECANE dealer with the approval of the MOTOBECANE factory or MOTOBECANE distributor shall determine whether a MOTOBECANE bicycle or part is defective under the terms of this warranty.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER ANY PERSONAL INJURIES, DAMAGE TO OR FAILURE OF THE BICYCLE OR ANY OTHER LOSS OR DAMAGE DUE TO MISUSE, NEGLECT, ABUSE, NORMAL WEAR, ACCIDENT, IMPROPER ASSEMBLY, IMPROPER MAINTENANCE OR MODIFICATION.

Replacement of defective parts and those dealer charges specified above shall be the consumer’s sole remedy under this warranty, and IN NO EVENT SHALL MOTOBECANE BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING A WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY WHICH EXTENDS BEYOND THE DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY.

This bicycle is not designed or sold for use under any circumstances in motocross, stunt riding or similar activities. No power-driven fixture should be adapted on this bicycle. Violation of this would entail cancellation of the warranty.

It is required that the consumer keep this warranty certificate in his possession after being duly completed and countersigned by the MOTOBECANE dealer from whom the bicycle was purchased. ANY CLAIM MADE UNDER THIS WARRANTY MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY THIS WARRANTY CERTIFICATE.

Contact the local authorized MOTOBECANE dealer from whom you purchased your bicycle for service or replacement under the MOTOBECANE LIMITED WARRANTY, or if you don’t get satisfaction then contact your local distributor, or, if necessary, write for assistance to the factory:
