Modèle déposé

[A small landscape panel inside a heavy black rule, printed in black on the untinted paper. The trade name runs across the head in very large bold slab-serif capitals between two raised inverted commas, with the selling line under it in letter-spaced sans-serif capitals and lower case. The left third of the panel is text: two lines naming the model, then a column of four features one to a line, a single bullet dot, two lines of letter-spaced sans-serif capitals, two bullet dots, and the maker’s name, address and telephone closing in three lines, the name in bold capitals. The right two thirds carry a line engraving of a single-wheel child trailer seen from its left side, its wedge-shaped body shaded all over in fine horizontal rule lines, a small oval window near the front with a child’s head drawn inside it in rough hatching, a long rectangular panel above the drawbar, a fat balloon tire on a full-spoked wire wheel under the tail and a curved drawbar sweeping up and forward out of the body to a hooked end that stops short of the text. The words “Modèle déposé” are set in very small bold type low in the right corner beside the wheel. No second color is used and no signature or agency mark appears.]

[This advertisement shares page 174 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for CLB, Prym and Bluemel’s, each held here as its own record, and others for P.C. plug caps, the Mochet voiturette and S.I.F. forks for cyclomoteurs.]
