[A ruled advertisement set entirely in type, in black on a tan ground, inside a heavy single-line frame. No drawing or photograph appears. A broad diagonal band bounded by two parallel rules runs from the lower left corner to the upper right corner of the frame. Along it, rising to the right, the marque name “Le Chemineau” is set in large, heavy, slanted script capitals and lower case between curled quotation marks. In the upper left corner the head “PIONNIER DU DÉRAILLEUR” is set in widely spaced thin sans-serif capitals on two lines, with a small triangle of three dots and the word “CYCLES” beneath it. At the right, under the band, the word “Cyclomoteurs” and the name “La Cheminette” in a bold condensed face each sit between short horizontal rules, and below them the town name and the years “1911-1955” are set in spaced sans-serif capitals and figures. A second triangle of three dots separates these from the maker’s name “J. PANEL, Constructeur” and, along the foot of the frame, a last line of address in bold sans-serif. No signature or agency mark is present.]

[This advertisement shares page 200 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Lyotard, Sider and Lambert et Cagnon, each held here as its own record.]
