AU SALON DU CYCLE : Stand 196
[A ruled panel in black and white, text only, inside a heavy single-line border. A broad band bounded by two parallel thin rules runs diagonally from the lower left to the upper right across the panel, and inside it the name “Le Chemineau” is set in large bold script, reading upward along the slant between curly quotation marks. In the upper left “PIONNIER DU DÉRAILLEUR” and, lower, “CYCLES” are set in widely spaced light sans-serif capitals, with a small cluster of three round dots between them. At the right, below the band, “Cyclomoteurs” in light type and “La Cheminette” in bold condensed type in quotation marks sit between short horizontal rules. Further down, “SAINT-ÉTIENNE” and the years are in spaced light capitals, followed by a second cluster of three dots, then “J. PANEL, Constructeur” and a closing line of spaced bold capitals across the foot giving the Salon du Cycle stand. No drawing, address line, telephone number or artist signature appears.]
