[A ruled advertisement in black and white, cut at the top and the right by the neighboring panels’ heavy rules. A bold italic line with an underline opens the panel and a roman line follows. The name “IDÉALE” stands at the left in very large heavy capitals with a decorative swash on the “D” and a soft shadow, with a thin ruled box at its right that lists two model numbers. A heavy-ruled box with a drop shadow holds a three-line sentence in bold roman capitals, and a three-line roman block with quoted words stands beneath it. At the right a drawing in stipple and fine hatching shows a racing saddle from above and to the side: a long narrow leather top with a pressed central hollow, rivets at the nose and the rear corners, and an oval label on the flank lettered “IDÉALE” with “PROFESSIONNEL” and the number “49”. The drawing is signed at the lower right “Rebour” with a “DR” monogram. A ruled line separates the firm’s name in large bold roman capitals and its town in smaller bold capitals at the foot. No agency mark is visible.]
[This advertisement shares page 174 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Idéale, Ad-Hoc and Ruche, each held here as its own record, and one for Tron et Berthet.]
