[A wide ruled advertisement in black and white, printed over a fine halftone dot screen that fills the whole panel with a mid-gray tone. Three black license plates with white numerals, each reading 51 84 above AU 75, are drawn in a row across the left half, each with a different lantern fitted above or beside it: a long rounded housing with a round lens at the upper left, a low oblong housing over the middle plate and a small round lamp on a bracket beside the third plate, which is set at a slant. Pale curved speed lines and the outlines of rear wheels run behind the plates. At the upper right “PLAQUES DE POLICE ET LANTERNES” is set in large roman capitals with the small words in small capitals. Across the lower left “Pour motos et vélos” is written in a heavy brush script. At the right a white circle holds the firm’s name, “Ets” in a looping script above “H.ARNAUD” in tall condensed capitals, with a dark half-disc below carrying the trade line in letterspaced and spaced capitals. A white rounded band along the foot of the panel holds the address and telephone line in bold sans-serif type. A line of text above the panel, “GRAND PALAIS : Stand 34, Balcon A”, sits under the ruled frame of the advertisement above and is not part of this panel. No signature or agency mark is visible.]

[This advertisement shares page 214 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Reydel, Dupont and Stella, each held here as its own record, and others for Ferrand gloves and clothing, Marvel mascots for scooters and motorcycles and Bollée piston rings.]
