[A full ruled advertisement in black and white with a heavy zigzag composition: large dark bands cross the panel diagonally, and the drawings and lettering are cut out against them in light tone. The firm’s name sits in a light parallelogram at the upper right, “LANDON” in very heavy shaded capitals with the rest in lighter hand-lettered type, and the rows of dots at its upper corner form a halftone shading. Below it “Nos Spécialités” is written in a large underlined script. Down the left a column of hand-lettered text, each item ended by a black dot, lists the products. The drawings are fine line engravings with hatched shading: at the upper left a pedal with serrated cage and a threaded spindle, under it a toothed freewheel sprocket seen end-on, in the middle two cranks with their cotterless ends and one with a chainwheel spider, at the center right a hub with its threaded axle and drilled flanges, and at the lower right a large chainwheel with cut-out arms and a toothed rim. At the lower left the brand name “Éclair” is drawn in jagged lightning-bolt letters over the words “La Marque”, inside a corner rounded by the panel’s outline. The agency mark “PUB. S.O.S.P.” runs vertically along the right edge near the foot. No artist signature is visible.]

[This advertisement shares page 184 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Dunois, Dilecta and Wolber, each held here as its own record.]
