COLNAGO

For 40 years Colnago has been designing frames that have other frame makers (and racers) scrambling to keep up. Made from only the best materials available: titanium, steel, carbon and aluminum alloy (ATB), they are the most advanced machines on the road. Something that you can tell just by looking at them. Each frame is hand painted and bears the signature of Ernesto Colnago himself. They are works of art and must be ridden to be believed. It’s no wonder the list of champions who have ridden on Colnago’s is almost as long as the list of medals won on them. To sum it up, on or off the road there’s nothing that can beat a Colnago. Hands down.

Master Light Colnago’s new Master Light steel frames are unlike anything you’ve ever ridden. Drawn from Columbus VANADIUM Chromoly, these frames feature a proprietary “star shape” design in the three main tubes. They also employ differential butting, a process which reinforces the tube precisely at the points of greatest stress. The result is a frame that is super light, but so stiff it has to be ridden to be believed. (Colors: Team WordPerfect• Red/Yellow Decor • Team LAMPRE) Sug. retail $1,400.

ELEGANT
Shown in Team WordPerfect

ELEGANT Combining state of the art NIVACROM steel and new, painstakingly crafted investment cast lugs, the Colnago Elegant is distinguished by its superb riding characteristics and light weight. Crafted of Columbus EL/OS tubing, a niobium/vanadium alloy, the frame and fork tip the scale at under five pounds, making it the lightest steel Colnago. Oversized tubing along with NIVACROM’s characteristic rigidity yield an exceptional racing machine. (Colors: Team WordPerfect • Red / Yellow Decor) Sug. retail $1,295.

BiTITAN The BiTITAN is made of a titanium alloy consisting of 90% titanium, 5.6 % aluminum, 3.6% vanadium 0.8% S4* drawn into seamless double butted tubeing. Fondriest (LAMPRE), Rominger (CLAS) and Tonkov (LAMPRE) all rode Colnago’s patented titanium design to victory in ’93. This titanium tube set exceeds the current industry benchmark in strength and has a dual downtube design which provides unparalleled sprinting and climbing power. (Colors: Team Decor • American Decor) Sug. retail $1,895.

Master Alloy-ATB Incorporating technology perfected through forty years of experience, the Master Alloy ATB features lightweight, oversized 7020 aluminum tubing with the patented “Star Shape” profile found on the Master Light road bike. The result is a frame with outstanding riding characteristics, providing exceptional lateral stiffness with an almost eerie ability to dampen shock and vibration. Shown in the hand painted “America Dawn” finish. Sug. retail $1,100.

C40 (Available late summer, 1994) This carbon frame was selected by World Cup holder Maurizio Fondriest (LAMPRE) as his frame for ’94. Using patented production techniques, and named in honor of Mr. Colnago’s 40th anniversary as a frame builder, the C40 is as beautiful to look at, as it is to ride. And with a weight of one kilo (2.2 pounds), this is arguably, the lightest production bike in the world. (Color: Team Decor) Sug. retail TBD.

Conic SLX (Not shown) Named for its lateral flex reducing design, the Conic SLX, has a unique ribbed and tapered down tube for greater stiffness and strength. More than that which can be found in traditional round tubes. A straight blade fork and Colnago racing geometry combined with Columbus SLX composition throughout, further contribute to the Conic’s competitive pedigree. (Colors: Red / Yellow Decor) Sug. retail $1,100.

Super Píu (Not shown) Meaning “Best of the Best” in Italian, Colnago’s Columbus SL frameset is a time enduring classic. With a geometry virtually unchanged since it was ridden to victory by the legendary Italian, Sarroni, the Super Píu is a combination of value and performance. (Colors: Team LAMPRE • Ferrari Red) Sug. retail $825.

C94 (Not shown) The C94 is made of Columbus Cromor and features seamless Columbus SL in the down tube and chainstay. Sizes 59 cm and above also have an SL seat tube. Chrome lugs, front fork and right hand chainstay further set the C94 ahead of the pack. (Colors: Red / Yellow Decor) Sug. retail $650.
