SOLIBLOC
AFA
[A tall narrow advertisement printed as a solid black panel with reversed white lettering. Five brand names are stacked down the upper half in heavy sans-serif capitals, centered one above another, “SOLIBLOC” being set smaller and lighter than the rest. At the left a line-engraved pump runs diagonally from upper left to lower center, lettered “ZEFAL” near its head and “ZEFAL Course” with a star and “PROCÉDÉ SOLIBLOC” along its barrel. At the right a handlebar bell is drawn in fine line hatching with its clamp beneath, and a small round disc beside it carries “AFA” and “MADE IN FRANCE”. At the lower left a toe clip is drawn lettered “CHRISTOPHE” along its strap, and at the lower right a pedal with a toe clip and a strap bearing the script word “Lapize” in quotation marks. The drawings are white line work on the black ground. No firm address, signature or agency mark is visible, and no text from the reverse of the leaf shows through.]
[This advertisement shares page 12 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Ambrosio, held here as its own record.]
