SALON du CYCLE -:- Stand 210

[An upright advertisement in text only, set in black inside a thin rule, with no drawing. The head is two lines of heavy condensed sans-serif, capitals over capitals and lower case, closed by a rule of one thick and one thin line that runs nearly the full width. A second head follows in one line of the same condensed capitals. Between a pair of thin double rules the list of goods is set in five centered lines of a light sans-serif, the trade name of the grips in guillemets, the words running on across the line breaks with hyphens. Below the lower double rule one line of bold sans-serif italic states the season line. A further thick-and-thin rule divides off the signature block, where the firm’s two names are set in one line of bold condensed capitals and lower case parted by a hyphen, with the street address and town under them and the telephone line below that. The last line, in bold italic capitals and lower case, names the exhibition and the stand number. A faint drawing from the reverse of the leaf shows through across the middle and right of the panel.]

[This advertisement shares page 162 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Lambert et Cagnon and Juéry, each held here as its own record, and one for Monblason pennants.]
