B S A
FOR REAL QUALITY
YOU CAN RELY ON B·S·A
THE POPULAR CHOICE
[Printed at the lower left:]
B.S.A. CYCLES LTD., BIRMINGHAM 11, C2403-5.
[There is no picture. The three letters B, S and A fill the black sheet from top to bottom in yellow, red and green, condensed so tall and narrow that they stand like columns, and three white bands are laid diagonally across them carrying the slogan in red capitals.
The poster sells a name the buyer already knows, which is the whole argument of FOR REAL QUALITY YOU CAN RELY ON B·S·A. Birmingham 11 is the postal district of the firm’s Small Heath works, and C2403-5 reads as the firm’s own print number.]
