[A ruled advertisement in black and white framed by a drawn roller chain whose dark side plates carry the words “VITA”, “CYCLO MOTEUR” and “VELO” in pale capitals, link after link, round all four sides. “VITA” fills the head in enormous heavy sans serif capitals, with “Ses chaînes Ses éclairages” below in a large bold brush script. A square black panel at the left holds line drawings in pale outline: a bullet-shaped headlamp at the top, and below it a rear lamp and a bottle dynamo with its bracket, both lettered “Vitalux” in script. The text at the right is set in condensed sans serif capitals, the Salon stand lines in lighter spaced sans serif between asterisks, and the maker’s line, the name “HUYGHE” in bold capitals and the selling line run across the foot inside the chain. A tiny hand-lettered agency or artist line, of which only “G” and the last letters read clearly, sits at the lower left beside the last line.]

[This advertisement shares page 102 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for E.D and Sova, each held here as its own record.]
