B : Inclinaison du tube de selle (on peut remplacer cette cote par la mesure de l’angle en degrés, mais la première méthode est plus pratique).

NECESSARY MEASURES TO BUILD A FRAME, TO STUDY ITS SHAPE OR TO DUPLICATE IT. For precision’s sake, measures are taken from center to center.
A – Height of frame (length of the seat-tube).
B – Inclination of seat-tube (easier to find this way than measuring angle in degrees).
C – Length of the top tube.
D – Length of the front part.
E – Offset of the front fork.
The three measures (C – D – E) determine the angle of the head-tube :
F – Length of the rear triangle.
G – Distance from bottom bracket to ground.
H – Front fork trail (very important for good control on the road).

EXPLICATION TECHNIQUE DE LA CHASSE : La chasse (A B) est la distance prise sur un sol horizontal, entre le point défini par une ligne verticale passant par l’axe de la roue avant et le point défini par le prolongement de l’axe latéral de la douille de direction. L’expérience et l’examen de nombreuses bicyclettes de coureurs montrent que cette chasse ne doit pas être inférieure à 55 mm. Pour la course sur route, actuellement la chasse se situe entre 60 et 65 mm.
WHAT IS FORK TRAIL ? : Fork trail (A-B) is the distance which the point of contact road and tyre trails behind the extended downwards axis of the steering head. Examination of many racing bicycles shows the fork trail not to be inferior to 55 mm (2.16 in). For road racing, it is nowadays of 60 to 65 mm (2.36 to 2.56 in).

CONTROLEUR DE CHASSE. Outillage léger, maniable, précis, élaboré en 2 éléments, utilisable sur toutes les bicyclettes de course. Le socle localise la roue et un réglet gradué de 5 en 5 mm donne instantanément et de façon précise la longueur de la chasse, mesurée entre le zéro du réglet et le chiffre indiqué par la pointe de la règle (voir croquis page 3). Le haut de cette règle est parfaitement centré par rapport à l’axe de la douille de direction et de la partie droite des fourreaux. La partie télescopique de la règle permet de mesurer la chasse sur toutes les hauteurs de cadre. La mesure doit être prise sur le côté gauche de la bicyclette.

DELIVERY. — The approximate time-limit for delivery is given without any obligation on our part. Transportation is made at buyer’s risk and peril.
If desired we may care for insurance.
PRICES. — All our prices are subject to change without notice. Export cases are invoiced at cost price. Owing to great variety of value, weight, and bulkiness of our different articles, we cannot establish a FOB price list. But we shall submit you by return of post a FOB or CIF proforma invoice for all intended orders you will send us.
TERMS. — Our terms are payment against forwarding documents presented to a first class Bank in France.
GUARANTEE. — Our manufactures are guaranteed free from defects in materials and workmanship and for one year from the date of invoice. Free remplacement will be made only if the returned article is recognized by us to be defective ; our guarantee does not cover misuse or alteration of our tools. This guarantee is limited to the value of the defective article and in no case can be extended to other damages.
CLAIMS. — All claims for shortage or damage must be made within 10 day from receipt of merchandise.

Es unterliegt der Beurteilung der Fachleute im Werk, ab im Zinzelfalle vorgenannte Mängel vorliegen. Die Einsendung der bemängelten Stücke und die Zusendung der Ersatzlieferung geht auf Rechnung und Gefahr des Eigentümers. Gleichfalls gehen Aufwendungen an Arbeitslöhnen für Demontage und Montage sowie Reisespesen und dergl. in allen Fällen zu Lasten des Besitzers.
Alle weitergehenden Ansprüche wegen Mangel der Ware, insbesondere Wandlung, Minderung, Schadenersatz usw. sind ausgeschlossen.
