PUB. S.O.S.P.

[A ruled advertisement in a thin single-line frame, drawn in plain outline. The list of brake types runs round the inside of the frame in light capitals, reading upward along the left edge, left to right across the top and downward along the right edge, with round bullets between the items. A large outline drawing of a caliper brake fills the field, with a hex nut at each pivot, an eye-bolt and cable nut rising at the top and two brake-shoe holders with domed nuts and clover-shaped plates at the lower left and lower right. “RUTTER” is set across the middle in very large light sans-serif capitals, overlapping the drawing. The firm’s name and address run along the foot. The agency mark “PUB. S.O.S.P.” is printed in tiny letters at the lower right, turned along the frame’s right edge. No artist’s signature is visible.]

[This advertisement shares page 26 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Sturmey-Archer and Durax, each held here as its own record, and one for the Babymoto lightweights.]
