VITRY-LE-FRANÇOIS (Marne)

[A full-page advertisement in a thin black rule frame. The headline is set in large italic capitals above a rule, followed by the product line in condensed capitals and two lines of italic. The center is filled by a fine line drawing of the bottom-bracket area of a bicycle seen from the right: the rotating chainwheel guard, a disk with several raised concentric rings, mounted on the chainwheel and turning with it, with a small “NAP” lozenge on the chainring behind the crank spider, the right crank and a rubber-block pedal, the chain running back to the rear wheel at the left, and the seat stay, chain stay and down tube of the frame. A rule above the firm’s name and address closes the frame. No signature or agency mark. The reversed type and drawing of the advertisement on the other side of the leaf show strongly through the paper.]

[This advertisement shares page 83 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Helyett, held here as its own record.]
