[A wide ruled advertisement in black and white, framed by a single thin rule. At the left, a fine line engraving shows a rectangular fuel-type can hanging from a spring-loaded sheet-metal holder, with a hooked top clip, two clamp bands and a flared base plate. At the right, a larger line engraving of a saddle seen from the side and front, its top covered in a crosshatched reptile-like grain with the name “MERAT” faintly embossed near the nose, a thick rolled edge round the front carrying an oval label with the same name, and below it the saddle’s clamp and a pair of flat steel mounting plates with slotted holes. In the center, a short telephone number in small capitals sits at the upper left of the firm’s name, which is set in very large, tall, shaded sans-serif capitals with the town in small type to its right. Below it an italic line announces the products, followed by a line of small type framed by dashes. Three product names follow, each led by a heavy round bullet and set in bold shaded capitals, the second and third with short lines of light italic-style text beneath them. A small ruled box at the lower right holds the show location and stand number in bold and light type. No artist signature is visible and no text from the reverse of the leaf shows through.]

[This advertisement shares page 204 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Fougerat, held here as its own record, and others for Celliose paint and Autol engine decarbonizing.]
