[A ruled advertisement in black and white inside a thin single rule. At the head “MERAT” stands in very large condensed capitals, with a telephone line in small type at the left and the town at the right. Beneath it a spaced capital line, an extra-bold italic line and a heavy capital line introduce the two novelties, followed by a light lowercase line. The center is a large drawing, in line engraving with halftone shading, of a single saddle seen from the rear and side: its top carries a scaled, reptile-like pattern, a curved loop of the same pattern rises at the left with a small oval badge reading “MERAT”, and a metal bracket with a flat mounting plate and spring fittings supports it from below. A small caption at the right of the drawing gives the patent line. The foot of the panel is set in heavy spaced capitals with a lighter line of five colors between them. No artist signature is visible.]

[This advertisement shares page 108 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Rigid and Luxor, each held here as its own record, and one for Wilman mufflers.]
