[An advertisement in a plain black frame, wider than tall. The heading runs across the top in condensed capitals. At the left is a line drawing of a cantilever brake mounted on a fork, seen from the front: the two arms pivot on bosses on the fork blades and are pulled by a straddle wire hung from a yoke on the cable, each arm lettered “JEAN” beside its brake block. At the right is a drawing of a center-pull caliper (“à ressort central”) seen from the front, its arched bridge lettered “SYLVATOR” and “MDL”, the cable entering from above at the right. In the center is the firm’s monogram, the letters M, D and L interlaced in a looped line drawing, with “CANTILEVER” in large capitals beneath it, the list of brands and the address. There is no signature or agency mark.]

[This advertisement shares page 144 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Maxi-Car, Indéca, La Vipère, Maphal and Uldry, each held here as its own record, and others for La Maison de la Moto, Mérat seats for motor machines and Ferrand clothing.]
