A note in L’Officiel du cycle, 2 February 1957, “A propos des moyeux-freins Durex”: the coaster brakes the magazine’s January brake survey credited to Arthur Hérold are the Durex hubs made by Praezision-Werke, for which Arthur Hérold Père of Villemomble is exclusive distributor in France. The heading is transcribed as printed; the text is summarized in Ebykr’s words.

A PROPOS DES MOYEUX-FREINS DUREX

[Ebykr summary; the note’s text is not reproduced. A correction to the magazine’s issue of 5 janvier, whose general survey of cycle braking mentioned on page 13 the « Durex » back-pedal brakes (“freins à rétropédalage”) distributed in France by the Etablissements Arthur Hérold, but left the brand name out of the article on the same product on page 15, headed « Les moyeux-freins Arthur Hérold ». The note now states that the Maison Arthur Hérold Père, of Villemomble (Seine), is the exclusive distributor for France and the Union Française of the « Durex » brake hubs, which are made by Praezision-Werke.]

[The note has no illustration.]
