[A black and white advertisement with a heavy dark frame, mostly line engraving. At the upper left a smiling boy in a jacket and short trousers is drawn in line and hatching, riding a small bicycle and looking back over his shoulder toward the reader; the lettering “Publi Cycle” runs vertically up the dark border beside him. At the upper right a helmeted motorcyclist in goggles leans into a curve on a motorcycle, with speed lines trailing behind him. Between them “Moi aussi” is set in a large brush script with a long underline, and the lines “je veux rouler en sécurité comme papa” and “grâce au frein” are set in bold rounded lower case. “LAM” fills the width in enormous black slab capitals above “TAMBOURIN” in quotation marks in heavy sans-serif capitals. A large square drawing at the lower right shows the rear hub of a bicycle with its drum brake in cutaway line engraving, with the brake shoes, the arm, the cable, the chain and the spokes, and the signature “Rebour” in script at its lower right corner. A solid dark block at the lower left carries the selling points “DOUX”, “EFFICACE”, “SIMPLE”, “BON MARCHÉ” and “FACILE A POSER” in reversed-out spaced capitals separated by small dots, with a small white label below it for the Salon stand. The firm name and street address sit in reversed-out capitals on the dark band along the foot. The signature reads Rebour and the agency mark reads Publi Cycle. No text from the reverse of the leaf shows through.]
[This advertisement shares page 208 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for AFCO and Gapiand, each held here as its own record, and one for the export house of J. Burin des Roziers.]
