HANDBUILT MISTRAL
For the Connoisseur
A FIRST CLASS ROAD FRAME COMBINING SURE HANDLING WITH RESPONSIVE URGE TO BE OUT IN FRONT.
Made from the best tubing available —’Reynolds butted 531′ is used throughout this thoroughbred frame which is hand brazed into the very popular ‘long spearpoint’ Prugnat lugs and sloping shoulder fork crown.
Normally built to 72° parallel angles with a 17½” rear triangle and 10½” high bottom bracket, an alternative of 73° angles is offered with shorter fork rake and higher bracket.
ANY COLOUR Flamboyant, Lustre or Enamel with contrasts and lining to choice.
FRAME ONLY
£16 19 6d.
EX WORKS
Mistral Frames feature a tremendously strong rear triangle by dispensing with out-dated heavy solid metal top eyes. A hollow large section 9/16″ stay is fully wrapped over the seat cluster and capped by a precision cut light steel facing. This system developed in our workshop culminates in a considerable weight saving and greater strength where the frame is under heavy stress.

[Two photographs of a Holdsworth Mistral frame: the head tube with its crest transfer and long spearpoint lugs, and the seat cluster with the seat stays wrapped over the top of the seat tube. A crease runs across the purple frame price panel.]

Telescopic stays fit either side of seat clamp with long bolt supplied, and clamp to small ears either end of axle. To tension chain, swing axle and/or adjust in rear end slots. Finally tighten all nuts, checking that wheels lie parallel to frame which must be vertical.

HOLDSWORTH LIGHTWEIGHTS—
Recognised for decades as in the first rank of Lightweight Cycle Makers: Holdsworth are now, by virtue of continual development, the leading manufac-
turers of quality cycles in the country.
HOLDSWORTH continue to employ Reynolds 531, the best tubing available in the world, but today build it into the famous range of lugs and fork crowns made by Prugnat, with brackets by Gargatte, the finest to be found.
Proof of the esteem with which these machines are held is sustained by the number of top riders regularly specifying “Holdsworth built”.
