[A full-page advertisement printed in black and green on white, with no photographs or figure drawings. A green panel with a slanted top edge fills the upper left and holds four marque names stacked in heavy black sans-serif capitals with a thin white shadow: GRIFFON, TROPHÉE de FRANCE (with the small word “de” set between), MÉTÉORE and AIGLON. Below them a brush-lettered black script reads “les 4 grandes marques de la”, with “grandes” underlined by a thick brush stroke. Cut into the green is a white panel with a curved left edge, carrying five green bullets and a list in bold black capitals, from BICYCLETTES to TRIMOTEURS, then “de qualité !” in green brush script with an underline. A thick black brush stroke runs diagonally across the lower part of the white panel. At the right, the letters F.M.C. stand very large, filled with a fine halftone dot screen and outlined in black, with two dotted round full stops. Beneath them a tall black shield-shaped block with a rounded base holds the firm’s name and town in white spaced capitals, separated by a small white star; a thin rule with a star ends at its left. A small rounded monogram resembling the letters SB sits in the lower left corner of the green area. The printer’s line runs in small type along the foot of the page and the manager’s name sits at the lower right. There is no artist signature.]
