[A tall ruled advertisement in black and white inside a single-line border. The head is set in heavy gray-black roman capitals, with “DUPONT” much larger than the two lines above it. “à trois vitesses” follows in bold italic lowercase and “MODÈLE PERFECTIONNÉ” in plain capitals. The center is a line drawing of a three-wheeled seated vehicle seen from the front left, with two large spoked wheels at the rear, a small spoked wheel at the front, a high slatted backrest, a wire basket behind the seat, a steering wheel on a tall column and a footboard. Below it the slogan is set in a hand-lettered sans-serif, with “sans effort, sans fatigue” in italic and underlined by a heavy double stroke. The brake and rack line is set in spaced capitals between two dots, and the address lines close the panel in capitals of decreasing size. A small slanted monogram of three letters, apparently “SNP”, sits in the upper right corner. There is no artist signature.]

[This advertisement shares page 138 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Choillot, Indéca, IRM, Cyclometer and Mulin, each held here as its own record, and others for Rod 88 goggles, a P.F. parts cabinet, Monginet’s saddlebag rack for motor machines, Dissoplast repair solution and the Mochet voiturette.]
