[A landscape advertisement inside a thin rule, drawn throughout in black line on the untinted paper. Two pennants, shown flying and shaded with long close hatching that follows the fold of the cloth, cross the upper half of the panel; the left one is lettered with the brand in sloped capitals and the right one with the model name in three lines, a drawn word in quotation marks between them. The word for the goods is lettered across the top left in a heavy brush script that overruns the left pennant. Two pumps are drawn in line at a steep slant, one in front of each pennant, their barrels plain and their heads knurled and banded, the left one carrying a small oval maker’s badge too small to read, the right one a long diagonal label lettered with the model name. A block of centered capitals and italics stands between them at the center, and a second block of three lines at the left, each separated by a small star. The brand is repeated across the lower right very large in a shaded sans-serif capital slanted up to the right, each letter filled with horizontal rules and trailing short speed lines. A long black bar across the foot of the panel carries the trade line in reversed white capitals, and the Salon line is set in italic below it. The signature “DEL” is lettered in small capitals at the right, on the hatching just beyond the last letter of the large brand. No agency mark appears.]
[This advertisement shares page 68 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Cagnion, held here as its own record.]
