[A ruled advertisement in black and white, set in a bordered panel whose frame runs off the right and lower edges. At the head “BABY” is set in large shaded Egyptian-style capitals, with “GRAND LUXE” and “DE 3 A 6 ANS” below it in smaller capitals of the same face, widely spaced. A large rectangular halftone photograph fills the middle: a small child in a cap and a patterned knit sweater stands behind a small light-colored bicycle on a paved terrace, one hand on the saddle and the other on the handlebar, and looks down toward the bicycle; behind are dark shrubs and a low stone balustrade. The bicycle has a sloping top tube, a rear carrier, balloon-type tires, a chain guard and a pair of small stabilizer wheels at the rear. Below the photograph the name “DELANGLE” is set in very large white capitals with a drop shadow inside a black lozenge-shaped banner with pointed ends. Under it the colors and the price are set in widely spaced slab-serif capitals, the first digit pair of the price damaged by a blot, followed by “CYCLES DELANGLE” in heavy bold capitals and the address line in a lighter roman with the telephone number at the right. No signature or agency mark is visible, and no text from the reverse of the leaf shows through.]

[This advertisement shares page 96 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Peugeot, held here as its own record, and others for the Onoto cyclomoteur and a Saar spare-parts store for German motorcycles.]
