La Marque des Records

FABRICATION DE LUXE
COURSE & TOURISME

AU SALON : STAND No 20

[An upright advertisement in black on the cream stock. The upper half is a line engraving of the firm’s works seen from a corner in perspective: a two-story building with a tall square entrance tower at the angle carrying a black signboard lettered “DELANGLE” in reversed capitals, a glazed stair window below it and double doors at the street; a long wing runs back to the left with three rows of windows, and to the right a saw-tooth shed roof runs away in four bays over a glazed wall, with tall slender flagstaffs rising behind the roofline. The lower half is a ruled box, open at the top where the building sits on its rule. Inside it the firm’s name is set in heavy slab-serif capitals, then the street address and the arrondissement and telephone in lighter type, then “La Marque des Records” in bold italic with a drawn wavy rule under it, then “FABRICATION DE LUXE” in letter-spaced capitals, “COURSE & TOURISME” in bold capitals, a second wavy rule, and the Salon and stand line in letter-spaced bold capitals. A drawn wavy rule closes the whole below the box. No second color is used, no signature or agency mark appears, and nothing shows through from the reverse of the leaf.]

[This advertisement shares page 106 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Idéale, Idéale and Renov, each held here as its own record.]
