BIRDO, 2, rue Armand-Thibaut, DIJON

[Design: the whole advertisement is reversed out of a solid black panel, all lettering in white. “BIRDO” runs down each side in stacked bold serif capitals, one letter above another, and “CYCLO-REMORQUES” crosses the top in bold serif capitals. A light rectangular window at the center holds a line drawing of the rear half of a bicycle (saddle, seat tube, chainstays and rear wheel) towing a two-wheeled box trailer with a slatted, open-topped body on large spoked wheels, its drawbar curving up to a hitch under the saddle. The three selling lines are in letterspaced sans-serif capitals and the address in bold serif. No signature or agency mark found.]

[This advertisement shares page 36 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Argaud, La Pitchoune II, C.L.E.M., La Perle, Strong and Fiducia, each held here as its own record, and others for Merat seats for vélomoteurs and motorcycles and J. Bonnefoy cream separators.]
