FEIGL

[A ruled advertisement in black and white inside a thin single-line border. A large brush-and-ink drawing fills the upper two thirds: a bicycle headlamp seen from the front and side, with a ribbed rim and the word “BERKO” on its lens, a curved bracket arching over the top and a mounting clamp below, shown beside an upright dynamo with a domed cap, a narrow neck and a cylindrical body that bears a shield emblem and the word “BERKO”, with a small wheel and fixing parts at the left. The drawing is rendered in loose heavy strokes and dry-brush hatching with a few broken outlines. The date and model line “1951 SPORT” stands at the left in condensed bold capitals. Below, the name “BERKO” is set in very large outlined capitals with a faceted shadow on one side of each letter, and “Créateur de l’éclairage électrique” follows in bold sans-serif type. The distributor’s name, address and telephone line are set in smaller sans-serif type, with a small shield-shaped mark containing a diamond and a letter at the right of those lines. A line of widely spaced capitals at the foot gives the hall and stand number. The artist’s name “FEIGL” is printed vertically in spaced capitals at the upper right, beside the drawing. A dark strip of the neighboring page shows at the far right edge of the crop.]

[This advertisement shares page 186 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for ČZ, held here as its own record, and one for Sudex lubrication equipment.]
