[A ruled advertisement set in type alone, with no drawing or photograph, inside a plain black rule. Two short rules divide it into three parts. The top part is centered and gives the kinds of frame in four lines that change face from one to the next: a bold slab-serif line, a short bold sans-serif line, a line of heavy condensed capitals mixing large and small sizes, and a line of blocky display capitals. In the middle part the word “SPÉCIALITÉ” stands alone at the left in letter-spaced light roman capitals, and under it two lines of large sloping script describe the grand luxe model. The firm’s name follows across the full width in very large heavy condensed sans-serif capitals reading “Ets ROLL’S”, with the works, town, department and telephone number in one condensed bold line beneath. Below the lower rule, the last part holds a single line of letter-spaced bold italic. No signature or agency mark appears, and no type from the reverse of the leaf shows through.]

[This advertisement shares page 130 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Ruche and OS, each held here as its own record, and one for the Cyclemaster motor wheel.]
