[A dark-haired woman sits on the edge of a bed against a pink ruffled curtain, turned away from the viewer and holding a piece of lilac lace across her lap; she is otherwise unclothed, and the whole sheet is worked in pinks and flesh tones. RALEIGH is lettered in heavy red capitals across the top with THE ALL-STEEL BICYCLE beneath it in grey, and the heron badge sits at the left above her feet. A signature is written in the lower right of the illustration and is not legible at the resolution of the available scan. Below the picture a white band carries the Greek advertising text between two vignettes: a man’s black roadster with a lamp and saddlebag at the left, a woman’s red roadster with a rear carrier at the right. A printer’s line runs very small along the lower left of that band and a reference code sits at the lower right; neither resolves in this scan.

The Greek text reads, in translation: bicycles of every type and bicycle spare parts — Raleigh, Rudge, Humber, Triumph, B.S.A., Hercules, Phillips — the finest in the world; general agent in Greece, G. A. Katsaris, 49 Acharnon Street, telephone 817-539, Athens 105.

The roster is what dates the sheet. The archive’s other Katsaris poster, document 69535, lists only Raleigh, Humber, Rudge and B.S.A. and gives the agency at Rombis 22. Hercules and Phillips reached Raleigh through the Tube Investments merger of 1960, so this sheet is the later of the two, and the agency had moved by the time it was printed.]
