PATENT FRONT FORK LOCK
A patented thief-proof locking device positively securing the steering of the bicycle in any one of three positions, operated by a key. By turning the key a locking bolt is made to engage from the fork crown into a locking plate attached to the bottom head lug of the frame, thereby preventing movement of the handlebar and making the bicycle unrideable. When the key is withdrawn, the mechanism in the steering fixed or steering free positions is positively locked; consequently when the bicycle is being ridden the locking bolt cannot operate inadvertently. It is essential that the cycle is not ridden with the key in the lock.

‘2030’ HIGH CARBON STEEL TUBING
Most Raleigh cycles are built with Special ‘2030’ High Carbon Steel Tubing, giving them greater strength, rigidity and extra liveliness. This strong and very useful stand, made of light alloy, is fitted to all Superbe Models without extra charge. Instantly and easily operated with the foot, it will appeal particularly to riders who have many calls to make. When not in use, the stand folds unobtrusively away.
